Invisalign & Veneer for a Better Smile with iTero 3D Oral Imagining Scanner

slider05Invisalign is an innovative method that allows the dentist to align your teeth in a relatively effortless way, using a new type of aligners. The method involves no wires, no brackets and no braces. It also entails none of the discomfort and restrictions that go with those soon-to-be outdated methods of teeth alignment.

The aligners are made of a thin, transparent medical grade plastic that that is almost completely unnoticeable. It’s like braces – but thin, not cumbersome and invisible. The dream of everyone who had ever in their life had to wear braces.

The Invisalign Technology

  • The aligners are designed in advanced 3D imaging software that simulates teeth movement. The program designs them in such a way that they will gradually shift the patient’s teeth.
  • You will get a set of new aligners every two or three weeks, until the result is achieved and you have a fully restored, happy smile.
  • The aligner is not noticeable. It is thin, easily removable for cleaning and has no metal parts or wires.

Every Step of the Way

We will take you through the process at a steady pace and a step-by-step approach. Our dentist will first determine if you are a candidate for Invisalign, and then proceed to planning it. Your teeth restoration and alignment will be under supervision and monitoring to ensure the best results. After the process is complete, our dental care professionals will provide you with advice and technical know-how on how to best retain the new bright smile once it was achieved.

Invisalign is, at this point, by far the most efficient and painless way to restore your smile. It offers next to no interference into your daily life cycle, does not alter the way you look, does not restrict your eating habits and just feels great.

Veneers – An Instant Better Smile

With the arrival of new materials that allow to produce thinner but still very durable covers for teeth, the Veneer became available. It is a perfect simple solution for patients who want their teeth to look better and cover stained or uneven teeth, much like you would with an artificial fingernail.

Veneers do exactly that. Unlike a crown which goes onto a tooth or a filling that goes into a tooth, the veneer is a thin, custom made covering that goes onto the front of the tooth only. They are made of thin porcelain and are applied to the front with special adhesive, creating a radiant smile with a minimal amount of effort and at a very modest cost.

Despite the fact that veneers are very thin, they are still strong and durable, usually lasting for a minimum of five and all the way to 12 years on some patients.

The list of conditions that veneers can serve as a cosmetic solution for is fairly long:

  • Broken, Chipped or Cracked Teeth
  • Diastemas, or Gaps Between the Teeth
  • Permanently Stained or Discolored Teeth
  • Unsightly, Stained or Washed out Fillings
  • Teeth that are Misshapen or Crooked

The main benefit of using veneers is that the changes that need to be made to the teeth for this application are minimal and carry little or no discomfort. There are cases, however, when veneers are not advisable or are better substituted with another solution, such as crowns, bonding, bleaching, micro abrasion, or orthodontics, depending on the specifics of the situation.

This can all be determined in a full dental evaluation, of course. One of our professionals will assess your health and cosmetic appearance and advise you on the best available options. For a free consultation, call Library District Dental now and you will be on your way to a radiant smile.
